Cross-country skiers can expect a true paradise with over 40 km of groomed trails. A highlight: the 16 km high-altitude trail on the Rossbrand with breathtaking views of the Dachstein Mountains.

Over 50 km of cleared winter hiking trails lead through snow-covered forests, to rustic alpine pastures, and to panoramic heights. Snowshoe hiking is the ideal way to discover untouched winter landscapes—even with an experienced guide.

Horse-drawn carriage rides

Ice skating

At the idyllically situated ice rink in the center of Filzmoos, young and old can enjoy icy winter fun. Whether it's first laps with the kids or elegant pirouettes – there's room for everyone. You can rent skates on site.

Torchlight hike

As dusk falls, one of the most atmospheric activities in Filzmoos begins: a torchlit hike through the snowy winter landscape. Guided tours often lead to alpine huts or campfires – including hot mulled wine and a cozy get-together.

Tobogganing & Snowtubing

The natural toboggan run at the Kleinbergalm (approx. 3 km) promises fun for the whole family. Those looking for a more adventurous experience can try snow tubing: zip down the slope on air-filled tires, pulled by a skidoo.

Yukigassen snowball fight

A unique spectacle awaits you at the Yukigassen Championship in Filzmoos: Teams compete against each other in this action-packed snowball fight – with protective helmets, tactics, and plenty of team spirit. This Japanese winter game thrills participants and spectators alike, creating a truly competitive atmosphere in the snow.

Advent & Christmas idyll

At the quietest time of the year, Filzmoos reveals its most romantic side. The traditional Advent market, festively decorated houses, the scent of cinnamon and chestnuts, and atmospheric events create a true Christmas feeling.
